The "TexTag" project is supported by the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme and has been designed "to develop new European wide interactive learning tools online for textile training and develop new learning modules for dyeing and finishing and garment technology manufacture which will be transferable across all partner countries". The project builds on previous experiences of developing CD-ROMS for the industry; however these are now out of date. The new learning tools will reflect with current technology and new developments and be produced for online access allowing interactive learning. The products of this project will "offer the underpinning knowledge to help technicians/craft level textile workers to achieve qualifications at the UK equivalent of NVQ level 3".
